"Douganese" - Some people say that I have a strong southern accent. So when they don't understand what I'm saying, they tell me I'm speaking Douganese. Also those random thoughts that keep popping out don't help things.

How My Mind Works

I have tried to explain how the thoughts in my head just come in and out. Or stick around until I do something with them. Let me see if I can explain it with an analogue.

Take a look at the picture above. The shrimp boat is dragging a large net in the water. There are birds flying all around, some lighting on the deck, some on the rigging, and some just floating in the water. There are birds that come to visit, there are birds that keep their distance, and there are birds that hang out all day long. Other things are in the works that you can't see, like the fish in the water.

I can focus on a single thought just like the boat can set its net and drag it, I can put my energy into that one purpose. As I haul that thought in, like the boat does its net, to gather the fruits of its efforts. Other factors come in to play. The sharks and other fish are moving in, the birds begin to gather, all would like to see what you come up with, and are looking for an open spot.

Once that thought has been brought in, cleaned, and stowed away, it starts all over again. I just can't always pick which thought will fly in next.
